What to record daily
Project name, site address, consent/reference number, report number, date, preparer, and role
Weather, site status, programme stage, and drawings/specifications used
People and trade headcounts, plant/equipment, visitors, and deliveries
Work completed, work in progress, instructions, and quality checks
Inspections booked, completed, passed, failed, or requiring follow-up
Health and safety observations, toolbox talks, hazards, near misses, and incidents
RFIs, possible variations, delays, photos before cover-up, and evidence references
Materials stored/protected, neighbour/public impacts, unresolved issues, and next-shift plan
Source / Where to check
Confirm daily-record obligations against the project contract, company document-control and H&S systems, consented drawings/specifications, inspection requirements, consultant instructions, WorkSafe guidance, and any notice/claim time requirements.
